The Partisan Defense Committee demands that all charges be dropped against the "Port Elizabeth 4."
These four activists—Teresa Grady, Danny Creamer, Ellen Grady and Mark Scibilia-Carver—joined over a hundred people at an October 3, 2025 protest against the shipment by Maersk of 1,000 tons of weapons and military goods to be used by Israeli forces carrying out the slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza. For taking a stand against genocide, they now face multiple bogus "disorderly persons" charges of obstructing traffic and being "present at the scene of a riot." Another group of 10 arrested at a Port Elizabeth protest against genocide on May 22, 2026 are also facing charges.
These prosecutions threaten the right of protest for all. We demand an end to the prosecution of the anti-genocide protesters. Drop the charges!
Sincerely,
Jonathan Piper
